Dr. Luccarelli and Lois recently visited Northside School in East Williston as part of a dental health awareness program in conjunction with Children’s Dental Health Month. They spoke to six, fourth grade classes.
The topics they covered were proper brushing, flossing and the importance of a healthy diet. They also stressed the importance of wearing mouth guards to protect the teeth while playing contact sports.
Seeing your dentist for regular check ups is an essential part of preventative care. Fluoride treatments and sealants help prevent dental disease.
At the end of the visit, Dr. “Luke” hosted a “game show” competition with the students and gave out prizes. A good time was had by all!
